ireland - wales
scotland - england
france - italy
providing ales finally pull their finger out from the word 'go' rathe than the words 'half-time', they could easily beat Ireland who look steady against anything everage thrown against them, but France only needed a few moments of inspiration to break the irish up, so I'm expecting a Wales win.
Scotland - England could be the real highlight of the weekend. It sounds silly, but I think all Scotland need is a little self-belief. hey look fairly solid in defence most of the time, but clueless with the ball. England have been average in every aspect, their results thus far flatter them immensely. I still can't see anything other than an England win, but I think scotland will scare them in the 1st half.
France - Italy. France have yet to bring out the shit side that we all know they have, so maybe this will be the moment. Or maybe I'm just kidding myself that this will be anything other than a drubbing by the home side.
They were outstanding.
Also Ireland made a fantastic start to the match - if that ball had bounced for D'Arcy the game may have been very different.
But the Healy yellow card, Kearney's injury and then Flannery's idiocy put us into disarray - in fact Kearney's injury was the biggest problem because it meant no one was playing fullback and our most attacking threat D'Arcy had to move out wide.
That game could've been completely different if not for a ten minute period where our game plan got ripped up to Plan G and France took advantage with aplomb.
Steady against anything average - clearly you didn't see the Autumn test, particularly the South Africa game. International rugby is a game of inches. The reason Wales have struggled is not because of a lack of concentration, it's an unwillingness to do the hard graft to go wide. All those mistakes came from trying to score on first phase possesion and missed tackles. While they've scored a lot of tries, all of their comebacks have come from their tight five fronting up and playing the phases.
It'll be tight, and probably come down to how well the back rows play. Thankfully for Ireland we have probably the third best back row in the world
That's all I have to say.
Leicester Mafia 4 Life
And that ape Haskell retains his place.
He ACTUALLY may as well have not been on the pitch against Ireland. Would've had the same impact
Can't wait. Contary to what Gatland says I love it when we play the Welsh.
I think Scotland can beat England if someone tells Dan Parks when you have on overlap on first phase in the oppo's 22, DON'T GO FOR A FUCKING DROP GOAL.
Italy can hopefully do Ireland a favour for the title by not losing by a million
