Do you do from the top, or the bottom?
Certain connoisseurs (and chimpanzees) peel it from the bottom.
then I read about the bottom thing chimps do and felt suitably humbled and enlightened enough to adopt that.
sub-question: bite or break off chunks?
They never show that in Attenborough programmes.
Is there any difference when you eat it the wrong way around?
everyone knows God made bananas for humans to peel from the top.
am I right?
his comments about bananas appear to mean onanism is something god keenly requires!
you can't eat it like that!
Perfect every time
but it works much better from the bottom.
old habits die hard.
but do people say '"peel" and "unpeel" a banana' to mean the same thing?
surely if i was trying to unpeel a banana i'd need some glue or a stapler
which leads me to think that perhaps other people use the term in that way too.
Peel can also be a noun.
it's about as accurate as the urban dictionary
but is in use and everyone would understand it's meaning. A bit of a tautology, like PIN number. Will probably appear as a real word soon, I'll look out for it!
to describe an item which is not peeled, like a banana that you haven't yet peeled. The banana can be unpeeled (in that it still has it's peel) but you cannot unpeel it. It isn't really a verb.
It's passed into common usage though, so it doesn't really matter.
imagaine my confusion when I was trying to work out why someone wanted to put the skin back on their banana.
Particularly Jack's responses to meths.
I did some ActuaLOLs.
Does anyone have a Banana Guard? I do, it looks like a big yellow dildo.
