I like them.
But Collins' voice seems to operate at the exact same frequency as something that reverberates in my head so I can't listen to them for very long.
I blame the fact it recorded through a Macbook microphone...
which has a producer and everything. Not heard it though.
without the childish swearing and bumming jokes - still good though.
Their other podcast is worth a listen if you haven't heard it. A little hit and miss but when hits it's brilliant.
Collins' voice goes through me like a hot knife through butter.
I miss Boggins.
occasionally goes on stuff like have i got news for you.
richard herring is a comedian, used to work a lot with stewart lee. known for his deliberately controversial humour. he has a hitler moustache and he looks a bit like joeymahone
neither are massively well known in their respective fields, but they're both pretty decent. Been doing a double act as Collings and Herrin for about two years now - they release a free podcast every week.
since its inception in 2002, and he used to be on Radio 1 in the 90s.
or maybe that was martin collins.
in comedy circles really?
Saw Richard Herring do his Hitler Moustache stand-up the other day. Was very good.
But I understand why they have to limit that at 10am on a Saturday morning.
On 6music Adam and Joe are better, but I've found the 'Collings and Herrin' podcasts more entertaining.
Ranks up there with the first time Herrin called Collings mother a fucking idiot.
he talks about the podcast, and he says that there's only been abuot 3 jokes they've cut out of it. One of them was about John Gaunt, and Herring says it's possibly one of the best jokes he's ever made in his life but it was just too offensive.
I really want to hear that joke.
It was something to do with the manner in which John Gaunt grieved for his dead mother.
but it works. And Herring does that cracking-up-at-his-own-jokes thing, but he does it well.
there's a lovely childish sense of humour about the whole thing, 'Diary Wars' is occasionally genius. I got to interview Richard Herring and he's pretty much the nicest person ever, too.
I also like the fact they've spent two years calling George Lamb a cunt, but now refuse to slag him off, cos he was kind of nice to them when they joined 6music!
Still miss Adam and Joe though.
I had my text read out by them on Saturday! about Get Cape/Jamie Cullum.
Although I pre-empted the ending. They do look quite similar.
