When did it become acceptable to have your mobile phone on the table at a meal?

Tillance [Edit] [Delete] 01:11, 3 March '10

This has been bothering me for a while. We went to the pub for lunch on sunday and everyone else i was with had theirs out and tonight we had some people over for dinner tonight and the same thing happened. I don't care if it's in someones pocket and it goes off or whatever, but to allow it to interrupt the actual conversation, then carry on by texting them back is just fucking rude. Probably a bit late to be posting this, but anyway, get some manners, yes?
