Who's for Welsh Cakes?
That's it, I'm listening to the GLC for the rest of the day.
And no other Welsh bands as the rest of them suck massive penis.
this day always reminds me of going to school with a dai cap & rugby shirt, cawl, mr. urdd and some kid playing the fiddle really badly at the school eisteddfod.
sitting in the assembly hall all day long seeing the same bit of poetry being recited about 15 different times, then the same song being sung (solo), then the same song (choir), and on and on and on.
yeah its a pretty nice day up here too.
my friend was saying he can't remember a st davids day where the weathers not been sunny, and I think I'll have to agree with him.
and no one here knew what they were! They enjoyed eating them though.
Wish we still did.
I've got no Welsh foods to eat. I'm so annoyed. I don't even have enough change to get a pic or some bara brith from the canteen at work.
my friend who's grown up in/around cardiff didn't know there's a parade. i feel this makes me better at welshness than them.
I've made welsh cakes. would you like one?
would you like one?
was gonna make some yesterday, but things all got away from me a bit
I didn't make any this year :( Bad Welsh girl!
But I have got cawl!!!
st. david's the only patron saint of a british isles country to actually be from that country
st Davids day is a bank holiday on Anglesey! its not fair my dad has the day off :(
Can individual counties make their own bank holidays? Is Anglesey even a county? Is your Dad just taking a patriotic sickie?
it's only the council staff who get the day off, in lieu of one the other bank holidays.
SFA had it written into their contract with Creation that they would never have to work on the saints day.
One of my fav SFA songs...xxx
