Apart from cold soup and icecream?
but avoided anything like rice as I had this fear of little things getting stuck in the gap forever.
Was it a straight forward extraction or have you had your gums hacked into and stuff?
well teh tooth was crushed in the first place.. so he was taking bits out ..so there's lot's of differnt holes...
and the other side has no toot has that broke off ages ago...
I'm scared of drinking stuuf and it going into the bit operated on.
and hot stuff stops it healing?
I also think i accidently removed ht clot when I took off the gauze...
As long as you have stuff at a moderate temperature, not too hot and rinse your mouth afterwards with salty water then don't worry too much about stuff getting in there.
Though if it's really bad then just drink water and stick to stuff like mashed potato.
it's all i ate when i first got braces
but that'll get boring/give me a heart attack
after a few days try pasta
but the dentist said my other needs to come out as there's no room and it's not through yet so I'm scared of this whole cutting open of my gob.
He said bottom teeth are harder to get out
I had some bad root canal work and caps done years ago..and they degraded and I couldn't afford to have them repaired.
they disintegrated and the roots became infected causing stroke from na inflamed nerve a few months ago and vison problems.
This weekend my glands ballooned and I couldn't see out of my left eye.
Today the cut into my jawbone and got rid of the infected tissue. But they can only do 2 theeth at a time. I have to go to them avery three months for about a year and a half to get out all the junk.
Erm I went straigth back to work after the op. I'm at work now and I had the op a few hours ago.
Apart from drooling when I talk I'm alright
I had all 4 of mine out in one hit, so that's a general anaesthetic job, so I ended up taking a week off work.
I ate mainly soup and ice cream for the first few days, eventually moved on to omlettes and things like pasta in a basic tomatoey sauce or noodles in a thai green curry sauce.
And choc mousse. Perfect
Just back from the dentist and he refilled my wisdom tooth but said it will have to come out in the next couple of years. He said it has entwined roots in the nerve... about as bad as it gets.
