Has anyone tried one? Is it any good?
a latte, may give it a go later.
And yes. It is. BIT rich actually, wouldn't be able to have more than one in an hour. And that's saying something for me.
It's meant to be a rich, strong sort of latte.
It's an onion piece, isn't it? You can't make me believe that anyone would think that a flat white is a new drink.
GUYS. I'VE GOT SOMETHING HERE.
It doesn't sound like it is but when you taste it you realise it's a much nicer way to enjoy such a drink. I realise trying something like this might break your rules.
I was 'riffing' on my comments yesterday on how you don't like to try new things in the world of food. :D
You're Roland RiffWrong
screw that, i like my espresso coffee in the largest size possible and tasting mostly of milk and sugar
They seem to be popping up in a few places lately. But there are quite a few cafes run by Antipodeans now - Nude in Spitalfields and, erm, Flat White in Soho etc. - that are pretty popular. It's not really a million miles different from a latte, but I always prefer them
So that's why I want to know if Costa's are worth a punt or just pale imitations!
ridiculous. fuck off costa coffee.
just give me filter coffee with a splash of milk. who buys this shit in such quantities?
You know, nice filter coffee. I'm not really interested in "the next stage in espresso-based drinks."
As I understand it, they're basically a latte, but with steamed rather than scorched milk, which makes it smoother and a little richer.
Starbucks started doing them a while ago, but apparently they’re nothing compared to those available at Monmouth Coffee in Borough Market and Flat White in Berwick Street.
i don't really claim to know much about being a barista, but those bros at monmouth do something real special with their machines, it makes the coffee taste very good indeed.
This is what I've heard. Their coffees are so awful I never bother with them.
and they'll look at you like you asked for a dynamo for a 1981 Triumph Dolomite
Do Starbucks do one? Like a triumph dolce or something?
of a flowery fanny after discussing a deep love of flat whites.
There it is: somone wanting decaf tea. Decaf tea is for eunuchs
I find the Yorkshire one quite nice. I think this proves it is quite a butch drink.
may have to give the Twinings a go.
I brew it in a pot though, which always makes tea nicer.
Can you still make the Bridge evening later? Someone is coming over to look at the stairlift today but I should be around after that
