because although you know they definitely won't win, if you refuse to join, they probably will win
I'd say it's worth paying a quid a week just to avoid the inevitable high kicking corned beef legged picture of your colleagues in the local paper whilst you still have to work.
If it's all of your work, you have to join.
If it's friends, less so.
If it's family, skip it and scam some out of them anyway.
and it only happens every few months when the euromillions is high enough to make it worth our while - no point entering if we're only getting 2 or 3 million each yeah

Every time I see a posse of troll-faced plebs holding up a giant cheque for £53 million it makes me want to die.

i wouldnt be in one at work if they asked me. total waste of money.

knowing that I'm throwing £4 away this week for no good reason, or the prospect of being the only person at work who won't be a millionaire next week

2 people refused to do Euromillions and we won £15. It's going on next weeks draw and if we win big bucks, we wont be sharing.
