I've had loads over the years but there are two that stand out the most.
I remember as a kid getting given the wrong Intal Inhaler at the pharmacist. My Mum asked why this kept happening as it was the third time in a month. Turns out there was another Sean Thomas with a mum named Margaret Thomas who had my same birthday (but a different year), was asthmatic too and lived down Seaforth Avenue, whereas we live down Seaforth Grove.
Weirdly, despite being 2 roads apart we went to different schools and never met, but our Mums did. Kooky...
Another one was when I was in NZ traveling for a month, I had about 10 minutes to kill in an internet cafe so emailed an old Uni mate asking how he was as we'd totally lost touch. Turned out he was traveling in the Southern Hemisphere too. I asked where he was and he instantly emailed back (before live chat see?) saying he was briefly in NZ. After another 2 or 3 emails we worked out he too was in Auckland, over from Australia for a 3 day festival, and in an internet cafe too 3 blocks down.
Ended up getting rather drunk with him. So random and fortunate as we were both online at the exact same time and had we not been we'd never have replied to each other in time before I left town...
How about you?
