so my housemate is xenophobic
We had a Korean girl here for a semester, and he repeatedly made disparaging remarks about her and seemed to get disproportionately annoyed by her 'strange' eating habits and sleeping patterns (e.g. getting up and cooking, waking us up occasionally)
I can understand why everyone could get a bit annoyed about stuff like leaving uncovered meat in the fridge, but it was pretty easy to just leave a note or cover it for her. But he went ON AND ON about it and how she "smelled" and "these Orientals do that, it's what to expect from Orientals" (He is originally Iranian, but normally lives in Occidental present day Vancouver). He left notes like "Turn the fucking light off" even though he knew she was, like, the most timid person ever.
He once came into the kitchen giggling to tell us the Korean housemate was having sex with her boyfriend. Ridiculously, this was at a time when the xenophobic housemate had elected to be mute for one month and could communicate only by mime. In order to tell us this hilarious piece of information, procured by eavesdropping, he did this:

followed by a short sex mine.
Other stuff:
lad housemare #1: is she hot?
xenophobic housemate: nah; she looked kinda Chinese
me: I overheard this really weird conversation today. A girl said to her friend: 'I could never find Asians attractive' TO HER ASIAN FRIEND who then said she wished her friend would die because she is racist
xenophobic housemate: nah, I'm gonna have to agree with her.
Yesterday, when aforementioned Korean girl left, he went through the things she had left, making jokes about them and her, doing some sort of imitative approximation of a pan-Asian "accent" and throwing all her things about the place and saying "oh thank god she's gone."
He is 30.
