New series starts in 50 minutes. Does anyone else watch this, or do you mong along with the Inbetweeners crowd?
You make it sound like you're a middle aged man pretending to be a female teenager...
I'm sure that you said you were only 15 sometime last year or the year before.

I guess it can be strangely touching sometimes - or at least that was the case with the first two series. I wasn't too keen on the last one. The new characters weren't particularly well developed.
The rest, less so.
I enjoy watching characters have fun and bonding and that
were genuinely really good, plenty of touching moments, great characters etc. But the new cast and stories are just gash.
the characters in series 1 and 2 were on the whole genuinely likable whilst the vast majority of the season 3 characters seem to be shallow, narcissistic and at times strangely misanthropic and judging from the first episode of season 4 they don't really seem to be developing at all. I'll probably still watch it though.
same here, that's the worrying thing.
although if you write a couple of positive, convincing things in this thread later I might catch up and give it a fair go.
It is what it is. It's become part of the national vernacular. It's probably going to be knocking around for a while.
That is almost every teenager. It's pretty accurate.
I was "mong[ing] along".
i'm hald scared of it, half in awe of it, half disgusted by it.
i get the exact same feeling by looking at sting's daughter as she embarks on her music career.
i think because that's such a complex mix of emotions, i'm just gona go with straight hate.
after i slated it without watching because my best mate so wanted to be in it, however the new crowd arent as good, as freddy is boring, cook is a cunt, JJ is annoying aswell as pandora. this new episode greatly missed the lesbian twin. WE NEED MORE OF HER. also why has thomas' accent changed so much? and why do his siblings have english accents yet they just moved from some african country? and why was there not much air time for the lesbian twin to be doing lesbian related stuff?
I really hope that girl dying in the club doesn't become the main story arc for this series, but it looks as if it will.
I actually didn't notice Thomas' accent that much in all honesty, I thought he was the same as he was in the last series. Though that singing he does with the girl in her living room was cringe-worthy...that entire scene was actually.
Cook, as ever acted everyone else off the set. He is brilliant. Also Olly from The Thick Of It! Yay!
I look forward to next week's episode as it looks like it'll focus on the lesbians. Going by this episode there should be at least two sex scenes. Score.
I thought they were made for 16 year olds. Why are you watching either of them, Marckee? :D
but he sums it up better than I can: http://www.guardian.co.uk/culture/2008/feb/09/television.media
You have to remember I start getting cold shakes if exposed to more than 30 seconds of a soap opera.
Nowt cutting edge about it, but it's good comedy. I like James Buckley. Saw him in Rock & Chips the other day. He's decent. And young & succesful & good looking. The massive git. I think I might want to be him. Or I might just get my hair cut like him.
Saw the first few Eps of S1 of Skins, it was OK and stuff, but I'm just gonna have to admit that it just became a massive pile of meh for me. I'm sure it'd be required/compulsive watching if I were still at school. But I'm not in the demographic so I'll withold further judgment. It'd be like me offering a critique of Ben10, or whatever.
Having said that, I was watching Charlie & Lola on CBeebies the other day. That looks pretty good. And there was also some animation thing with letters of the alphabet that was pretty cool.
What was the question? Oh yeah, "Is CBeebies better viewing for a 30 year old than E4?" My answer: On balance, yeah, probably.
