Has anyone read any of his books? I assumed he is another Dan Brown 'tripe for the masses' type, but my sister said that his books are really good.... HOWEVER, while she generally has good taste, she's also prone to a few clangers.

I have to say, titles like 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' don't exactly fill me with confidence.
