Dear People of Dis
Where can I buy a tea cosy?
that's where i got my totally awesome one from http://twitpic.com/hhjug
I don't think I have time though and I'm not a very fast knitter, I don't want to make empty promises...er...learn to knit yourself? It's not TOO hard. Other than that I have no idea. Maybe large supermarkets or Wilkinsons will sell them. Also any cookery shops.
The Mo Mowlam Memorial Tea Cosy Emporium, also on third. Keep-that-drink-warm, third too. And Mr T's Cosiez ...on third. You know what, they're all in the same complex, the tea cosy complex on third.
They are very twee, in the style of cakes etc. She sells them in a vegan cafe in Newcastle and the art centre. Message me if you're interested?
does she knit other things? Sadly I don't have a use for a tea cosy (the only teapot I have is...oh dear do I admit this...owl shaped. And therefore not very tea cosy friendly.) But the other things in this post interest me!
The scrumpy willow and singing kettle, not sure where it is in the city centre. She does egg/tea cosies, baby/toddla clothes, jumpers and cardigans.
you just need some thick-ish fabric (felt will do! or fleece!) and some wadding. measure teapot, measure out fabric and wadding, sew together. easy peasy!
