and there's nothing I can do about it. It's mega annoying.
You know, before you had that cool patch of arrow keys and edit/navigation keys in between the QWERTY and the number pad. Back then you had to turn it off frequently and I got used to it being the arrow key pad. Ah, the days of 83-key keyboards.
That said, my first PC was a third or fourth hand Olivetti M24 with an 8Mhz 8086 processor, monochrome green screen CGI graphics and two 5.25" floppy drives and no hard drive.
I remember it being an Olivetti and had a monochrome green sceen, thin it only had 1 floppy drive and I could only use it to play blackjack and type on.

That said these were around in the early 80s and mine was dying by about 1993 so it might depend on when?
I was like 5, I have no idea why I had a computer at that age, much less one that couldnt do much in the way of education :)
I still had fun on it, typing poopey over and over on the command prompt page

I can't tell you how many left overs I got when I was a kid
M20, Some other intel pc with Windows Dos, 386SX Windows 3.1, 486DX2 with Windows 95 (that's when shit started getting real)
and I had this really awful laptop at one point, I was only 10 and I had used like 6 different operating systems :/
