or is the meat usually the worst part of a Sunday roast?
for me, everything is just a background player for the roast potato.
also....dumplings instead of a yorkshire pudding....just putting that out there.
i mean it too, whenever we have a roast everyones like OMG YORKSHIRES ARE SO FUCKING GOOD but i'd much rather took into something more substantive
that I shouldn't concentrate on the meat, cos that shows a bit of a lack of palate (like I'm some sort of food critic), so I end up eating everything but the meat.
So, in answer to your question, yes - unless it's lamb, which is delicious.
I don't like beef. Love lamb and chicken, can just about stomach pork, but if there's no pigs in blankets then I'll probably burn the cook to death.
Stuffing is a necessary part, as are roasties, puddin' and a small lump of perfectly mashed potato.
Mint sauce, too. Lots of mint sauce.
If its dry, then yes, if its succulent moist niceness then no... its all about a good roast tattie at the end of the day though
= bang on.
you have just ruined my sunday roast by reminding me that i had parsnips in the fridge yet didn't cook them. now i am a little sad.
