only 8 key sources for a four thousand word paper
i'm trying to nail down the bibliography for mine, got about twenty. This is ridiculous.
Though maybe you have some original, insightful analysis?
and it is a piece where we're supposed to conduct our own arguments, but still ... there are plenty of unsupported claims around this place
does anyone have any advice for the introductory paragraph of an annotated bibliography?
like...should i talk about why i used the material i did and why/how it was helpful and stuff?....comment of the level of literature available?
to be fair a lot of the essay is taken up describing the results of my analysis, but the books i got from the library were all bloody useless and it was a massive struggle to find anything relevant. and the essay's shit and my analysis is all wrong. and it's in tomorrow.
but because i've got other work on it's got a self imposed deadline of tuesday.
problem is the topic covers a lot of old ground so there are a lot of things i've just typed straight into it because to me they've become really obvious over the years, which is clearly bad form. probably spent tonight and tomorrow going through inserting supportive quotes liberally throughout my existing paragraphs and giving the whole thing a polish on tuesday so that they don't ruin the flow.
What's the subject?
some of the things i've written about are pretty contested, so even though i know that and which side i'd take, i still need to put some actual evidence alongside it.
A Unified Statistical Model of Conflict Onset and Escalation as I DiS tonight
apparently the evidence backs up the idea that when it comes to the reasons countries get upset with each other their type of govt/society doesn't matter but when it comes to resolving it or escalating it to armed conflict systems of rule do come more into play
It's all about stealing references.
possibly including one that i haven't actually looked at for this essay but used in a previous one. i'll just be vague about what it says.
I've got about 20 references in mine but with only about 5 books.
and i don't do too badly... i've got about four sources so far for this 4000 word essay i'm doing, seems like enough.
i usually use about five, hardly ever more than that...don't do too badly. maybe king's has no clue.
you get the director's cut and the cinematic cut, 2 for the price of 1
fuck you dis
