Fact of the day 06/01/2010

thewarn [Edit] [Delete] 13:22, 6 January '10

Hi snow fans (snow blowers?)

The record for the most snowfall recieved in a single season is held by Mount Baker in Washington State. It experienced 1140 inches (just shy of 29 metres!!) of the stuff between July 1 1998 and June 30 1999.

On 2 JUNE 1975 snow fell across a wide area of the midlands, including Peterborough (hooray!), Derbyshire and Birmingham.

It's snowing here by the way.
