I give you the 26 dart leg!
what do you mean the lower the better?
That video's unbelievable. Says it all about the BDO to be honest. I've never seen anyone on the telly play like that. His average must be like 20 or something.
Poor lad :(
Probably the most nervous I've ever seen anyone.
Croft: "his averages have been so consistent"
And he ends up blaming Fleet for Adams missing loads of doubles!
He's still better than me, but at least I don't drop my fucking darts.
Adams is pretty gash in it as well though.
and did the exact same thing in the 1st round against Adrian Lewis
HOW does it keep happening, when the standard is (even taking into account the one-offness of this video) so much lower?
I don't understand.
It only really has 4 or 5 players who are anything like PDC standard now :(
...still, it probably means that younguns will come up through the BDO then possibly switch.
...AND it's probably something to do with them raising their standard when moving to the PDC. You can't say Stompe and Whitlock aren't good darts players.
is if Taylor had lost an arm or something, this year's PDC final would have been a repeat of the 2008 BDO.
Bearing in mind Bobby George says the two will never merge, do you reckon people like Hankey and Adams stay with the BDO out of principle or fear?
(and vice versa)
Guaranteed to be in the final three or four of almost every tournament, claim the cash that way and don't really have to try. At least people like Hankey and Waites have tried their hands at the Grand Slam and things like that. Adams just plays county and a few tournaments in Rotterdam. He likes the easy life.
Oh, what's that, too scared? You're the Steve Bull of darts. Scaredywolf.
...anyway, who are you to talk, Mr Double 1, I've probably still got Jim Bowen's contact details if you want them?
Adams was pretty decent in the post match interview talking of nerves and suchlike. Bobby George wasn't, laid into him and called him Mickey Mouse.
and besides, all the monogrammed teddy bears in the world don't match up to the fact Wade once went by the nickname of No Nickname. He was the PDC's own Ikara Colt.
I like the idea of No Nickname being emblazoned on the back of his shirt though. Or James 'Just call me Jim' Wade.
is PDC on normal, by which I mean freeview/virgin TV?
apart from the 'gland slam of darts' which happens for about 3 days once a year and is on ITV
sad that in a way I look forward to the end of Christmas just because the mighty Lakeside is ON...
