y'know, even if you're writing about celebrities from a more elevated position than closer and OK...and try to be 'humorous' and 'ironic' with it...you're still just spending your time writing about lindsay lohan.

i hate this double standards thing the guardian does with celebrity...very dull.

it's for sex and the city viewers who think the lives they lead are in some way similar to that of carrie and the gang so they're allowed to take an interest in the shiny people because they're closer to their level..and y'know...THEY DON'T REALLY NEED THEM..unlike the ugg boot chomping tan-fans who are so ghastly and base with their infatuations.
