gave my brother a summer heights high dvd
gave my dad and stepmum 3 bars of posh boutique-y dark chocolate (black pepper and rose, ginger and date, chili)
For my sister, a biology book and a moleskine whose papery cover I decorated with an ocean with lots of weird marine animals (she wants to be a marine biologist).
I was going to get my mom tickets for "In The Heights", but she got that for my sister/herself, so now I don't know how I'm going to replace it.
For my boyfriend, "El Amor En Los Tiempos Del Colera", as he never gets the chance to read for pleasure during the year, let alone in Spanish, but now has 16 hours of plane riding to fill over break.
I never see my dad, but will probably have to sometime this season, and I still don't know what I'll get for him then. I know what he might like, but I don't know what of it he doesn't already have.
parents - (joint presents because i was short on ideas) - a book of photos and articles about newcastle in the 1960s, some jars of expensive fancy sounding cooking oils, some smart looking christmas biscuits
brother - KISS TICKETS, a book about the war in Afghanistan
mum- bonsai tree, slanket, perfume
sister - scrubs dvds, wii fit plus, perfume
brother - one of those things to sit your laptop on, lapdesk i think theyre called. also a portable iphone charger.
Mum- itunes voucher
Dad- I made him a compilation as he asked that I didn't get him a present. I called the compilation 'Dadstep'. Genius huh?
Little sister- Nighty Night series 1 DVD
Big sister- heaps of chocolate
Step dad- The Thick Of It series 1 DVD
Grandparents- A plant.
Nephew- A Thomas The Tank Engine bag
he seemed pleased. i know its a bit risky buying clothes but all he wears is grey designer t-shirts so it seemed like a safe bet. he looked happy.
mother - albums by rihanna and alexandra burke
granny - new puzzle game for her ds
grandpa - stilton
My dad will be getting his electric heated vest tomorrow. I know its a bad present, but I can't stand him, so....
He lives in "the north" and likes going for walks in the cold a lot.
Dad - Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall book
Sis - Put together a sushi kit - recipe book, bamboo mat, wasabi, rice, pickled ginger, seaweed
Family - 2 boxes of italian cantuccini biscuits.
dad - some wire cutters and things along that line. think he was stoked.
mum - some mead. she was definitely stoked.
brother, younger - ben elton book. i've never seen him stoked in his life so i'm'a pass on this one.
brother, older - flaming lips album. he was stoked.
girlfriend - perfume, why? ticket, nice bath stuff, massive box of Nerds, book. she was stoked.

Next year i'll get something for my aunt and uncle, they always get for me and i never get for them.

girlfriend- not given them to her yet, but jawbreaker 'dear you' double vinyl, papya body butter, love and rockets book, green tea and tea strainer, american hardcore dvd and i'm gonna get here one more thing before next week i reckon.
was really hoping for Locas 2 for xmas.

The whole heartbreak soup saga is amazing, I got addicted to it and ended up buying and reading the next two volumes in the space of about 2 weeks, good present!

I got tix to see raveonettes and disintegration in picture vinyl. Pretty sweet :D

Got my sister the music from the Gilmore Girls CD.

my sis got yo la tengo and mariam and amadou but she already had it.
my mum got a penhalligons bath oil
my dad got the eternal and a dvd called i saw ben barka get killed.
my sis in law got a book of silly looking cats.

gf: bjork gig poster i designed, screenprinted n framed myself. an antique fold-down sewing box-thing and a load of dress patterns. some posh cheese. a hot water bottle. cooked her an amazing meal.
dad: coffeetable book of aerial photos of yorkshire and some yorkshire blue cheese.
mum: huge book about different gardens around the world.
mate: biggest pork pie i've ever seen.
everyone else: a load of little screenprinted postcards.
everyone has been fucking chuffed which is nice.
i gave my sister Ice Age 3 and a £25 clothes voucher. she's impossible to buy random things for so i don't bother and get her what she asks for even though that really bugs me.
i gave my mother ER season 12 DVD, Little Miss Sunshine DVD, the new Charlie Brooker book (random present - entirely her sense of humour though), Further Complications by Jarvis (she is/was a huge Pulp fan) and The Hazards of Love by The Decemberists (i usually buy her a random CD, this jumped out cos she likes Fairport Convention and Sabbath and its kinda in the middle). she seemed happy <3

mum - 3x tickets for a comedy night in Brighton.
No girlfriend any more and all my friends are too tight to ever get each other anything so I'm stooping to their level this year.
Should I feel bad not getting a third ticket for the football? She wouldn't have appreciated the gesture or enjoyed the match but I nonetheless feel abit bad for it, like I shouldn't have been so presumptuous.
