Ok, se here is the dilemma....

a friend of the band has been taking live shots of us for a while, a year or so, there are a few hundred of them all in all, he just posts them up on facebook, we use them on myspace occasionally... nothing special. In addition, he took some photos for us to use as press shots. We devised the shoot, we took some preliminary test shots, in reality, his only input was using his camera and clicking the button.

Before we had chance to use these shots in anyway, he fell out with a member of the band, lost his temper and said he wanted nothing to do with us. We emailed him about using the shots, he said he was done with them and we could do what we liked, we edited them, did all the post production on them and asked again before using them. He has since gone a bit mental and demanded we remove them from all web spaces or he will get our myspace and facebook closed down.

Can he do this? doe he own copywrite? it seems a bit ridiculous to me... he is being unreasonable i think... the photos are shit, but that isnt the point in my view...
