Marcel has gotten badass.
This reminds me of the calorie-restriction mishap of 1993
Calorie restriction is a method of life extension - calorie restricting nematode worms, fruit flies and primates has been seen to increase lifespans by as much as 80%.
Calorie restriction was defined as 50% of the maximal calorie intake of an organism.
This group of scientists down germany working on rhesus monkeys wondered wther the life extension phenotype would be increased if they defined calorie restriction as 60% of maximal intake.
It ended in the rhesus monkeys mauling some scientists, escaping and tearing up the lab in search of food
That's interesting about the calorie thing - I knew about the research from earlier this year, but didn't know about the break out. Are we all designed to be hungrier than we need to be as a population control then?
I love a picture of pretty much any flying kick but one of a monkey has really made my day
