Interesting
According to the BBC weather it is supposed to snow here tomorrow night, which I can almost believe due to the temperature tonight. Apparantly it's also supposed to snow this evening where my parents live in Rugby.
I hope it doens't have an effect on the traffic for Saturday or the trains, because my sister comes back from Paris, has to tube to Uxbridge and my parents are then coming to pick us both up. I don't want o be stranded!
THIS JUST IN
it's not snowing in harrow either

i can't wait to go to old redding and take snow photos. it's so nice there

hah do you not want to learn to drive? or just can't be bothered with the lesson?
yeah horrible if you've got a cold
I learnt to drive over the christmas period, it was horrible, because my lessons were always in the dark in the evening, sometimes with added ice. lovely.
On a related note I wrote off my car 1 year ago to this day
who me?
i've been driving for 2 years now. I get to drive my dads company car for free....audi a3, absolutely lovely.
snowed on sunday in gay Paris
don't know
the curtains are drawn and i can't be bothered to open them to have a look
but seeing as it's london, i'ma guess...no

0751, Camden NW1
no snow
there is a little bit of snow in Cambridge
but not enough to settle, just a few flakes in the air.
after two days of continuous light snow
it has stopped
it's just plain oneupmanship because they/we get more of the stuff
Swedes ar just as excited and anxious about the snows arrival than Brits - probably moreso actually as it provides some much needed extra light in the darkest days
Hatfield, UK
It's snowing. Not much though.
0946, Camden NW1
no snow
very very light snow in w9
citin'!
It's a bit naughty wishing for snow, Chris.
Given how incapable Britain seems to be at dealing with even the slightest patch of extreme weather.
Pangbourne is now covered in 5 1/2 metres of the white stuff.
Ice storm in chichester.
1033 Kings Cross
probably not snowing. But it's brass monkeys outside.

SOUTH WALES WEATHER
None in Newport when I left and none in Cardiff when I arrived.
Fuck's sake
This will a) make the Central line even more awful and b) result in my death tonight.
i am starting to get worried
about how it's going to affect my journey too...
can anyone give a home counties update?
I'm walking home tonight ( 3 mile mission )
so I'd rather it's be snowing lightly. Converse are really not made for snowy weather though.
Apparantly it's supposed to snow here today and heavier on Saturday
AND it's supposed to snow at my parents house heavy on saturday when they're suppposed to pick me up
If my calculations are correct then
snow today + snow on saturday (here)DIVIDED by the snow at home x 100
= hindering on a smooth journey home

It's snowing a good'un in Middlesex and Hertfordshire
Just drove back to Rickmansworth from Harrow and it's mayhem on the roads already. An inch or two settled here already and it's not letting up anytime soon.
I'm sick of the snow already
it's nearly mid-shin deep and the weather forecast says snow on 9 of the next 10 days
three inches in St Albans.
but that's cos it's bloody cold.
(there is actually three inches of snow in st albans tho)
Hey, man, you're in St Albans? Me too.
I just walked the ~5 miles from Hatfield to St Albans. It was a totally great walk.
Halfway home, the guy from Spice Mahal on London Road gave me a cup of tea.
It warmed me.

1 inch snow = useless
decent snow in newcastle today
a covering on the grass and roofs, albeit a thin one. I just stuck my head out of the window and the air feels amaaaaazing, so cold and clean.
SNOW! in Cambridge and Kings Lynn
started settling about 8.30pm last night; there's probably about four inches on the ground now. two good and two bad re: the snow:
+ it looks absolutely lovely - realy picture postcard stuff from the train this morning
+ snow seems to bring out a sense of bonhomie in people - making sure everyone's getting to where they're going safely, saying "morning!" to people on the street, i stopped to help someone give their car a push - that kind of thing.
- there's enough snow to disrupt my journey but not enough to totally curtail it (so i'm in work)
- a 50 minute train journey took 2 1/2 hours last night on in the snow.
EARLY REPORTS ARE COMING IN OF 15 FOOT DRIFTS ACCROSS CERTAIN PARTS OF MORE RURAL BERKSHIRE
Reading has about 3 inches
FUCK OFF FUCKING SNOW
i got up at 3:30am this morning to catch a flight. our taxi never showed up. we dug our car out of all the snow and nearly DIED driving down the drive, drove all the way to luton but had to walk the last freaking mile. finally got there, after running with all our bags: our flight was cancelled. drove all the way home.
i'm sat here, in my room, instead of in france. worst christmas ever. :'(

no, it's not snowing here. :D
It's no where near cold enough in London to snow.
It's mostly been clear skies that I've noticed as well.
Reports coming in from Dunblane and Stirling of actual proper snow.

Merry Christmas.
