BBQ Apron with Utensils
Possibly one more thing
I'm getting them stuff they actually want, and then something else I think they might like. So, they're both getting books they wanted and then my Dad is also getting a huge mug full of wine gums from BHS and I got my Mum Hairspray on DVD cos it's awesome.
but I'm getting my Mum the new one.
Some wishy-washy nonsense CDs for stepfather. Although I've lost the list of these, so I'm not entirely sure which ones I'm going to get him as yet.
Isn't that what you called Band of Horses?
I got the instruction 'He likes Fleet Foxes and Midlake and Eels, so something along those lines would be great'. So wishy-washy nonsense it is. Band of Horses is a great idea. Thanks!
all the rest are fine
A book on making lovely cupcakes, some chocolates, and some realllllyy pretty earrings.
a jigsaw puzzle
plus, my presence in their home on christmas day
Mum's fella: A free book from www.stuartsstories.co.uk, and a coffee pot and mugs to go with the coffee machine my mum's bought him.
Dad: A book of some sorts
Step-mum: A book of some sorts
Guess who I prefer?
But I have to get my mum something nice, I normally really spoil her so whatever I get will seem really measly. I can't think of ANYTHING that is super cheap.
I normally get her boyfriend something small, but last year, after years of buying me chocolates he bought me my favourite perfume and so now I feel like I have to get him more than a CD.
Audiobook for Mum(Which she requested)
Thank god they're simple and precise with what they need
In the loop, some Margaret Thatcher nut crackers, some pint glasses and a second hand book I found by Saint & Greavsie.
A tagine. Some stuff to cook in a tagine. A hamper of Christmas treats.
the list as it currently stands:
Mum: some kind of Body Shop nice-smelling stuff (although that's what I got her last year, so I might have to go to a different shop. And chocolates
Karl (Mum's husband): Blokey shower gel kind of thing, and maybe some sort or novelty beer or chocolate.
Dad: I don't want to get him books, CDs, or DVDs because that's what I get him every year. The problem is I can't think of anything else. I could get him some weed or something? Dunno really. I'll have to impulse buy when I'm shopping on Saturday.
Dad's Bird: sod all. I've only met her once, and I've got enough on with having to buy something for my long lost grandad who I only met this year. No way, man.
dad: the street dvd
mum: green and black chunky type necklace
Her boyf: this rubiks cube/sudoku cube thing.
Mam: No idea.
it'll be cold enough at this time of year.
They have no interests besides caravanning and stuff that's been done to death. And they can't come up with any suggestions. I don't need owt. "Christmas is all about food anyway, so let's call the whole thing off", is what I said.
Prolly get summats small as a gesture, though.
I hate my stupid mum. Fuck knows what I'll get my Dad.
to share between them. and some gloves for my mam and a bobby robson scarf for my dad.
Weird. He cooks about once in a blue moon. Maybe now both us kids have left he's filling the void or something.
So yeah, I'll get him that and some posh organic ingredients.
Mums are harder to buy for, but I can never really go wrong with organic wash products. Oh and she broke her favourite breakfast mug.
but I'd like to get them something.
