will be safe to watch Arse/Livepool in. There's a pub just down from Piccadilly, I think it's called the New Brunswick, which will have it on too.
on Grosvenor St is usually OK. Across from Deaf Institute.
Not always packed and quite a few large sized TVs dotted about. Haven't been for a while though. Or The Pub occasionally.
seconded. They show all games that are on, even if Man U/City are on, the priority game gets sound, any other game gets its own screening up the corner.
It won 'best pub' at Manchester Food & Drink awards this year.
But I live just off deansgate, so always go to Mulligans. It doesn't get too rammed as it's hidden away in a lane behind san carlo restaurant, it's a bit damp, smells of wee a bit, and it's full of eccentric old irish men, none of whom seem to still have all ten fingers. I really love it. DO NOT WHATEVER HAPPENS DRINK THE HOUSE WINE.
I think it's the pub Roy Keane used to go in and is mentioned in his autobiography. They sell spirits in wine goblets and reminds me of the old pub I used to work in back home.
Love it. But please heed the wine warning if you ever go in.Actually mate, I know I've only met you the once, but you don't strike me as the kind of guy who would drink wine in footie pubs, so I guess you're safe!
and it was as awful as expected...in a good way, but not in as good a way as the Commercial, I love that place!
There was a man having some kind of seizure outside of Mulligan's and was projectile vomiting into the doorway. I kind of loved the place (but may never go back)
