What sports do/did you play and to what level? Have you ever won anything?
Away you go.
the sports and the match-making

This isn't for my benefit.
and played for the school and all that.
Now, I'm still playing at the same level as when i was 10
Unless Pool is a sport, I'm just 'a bit crap' at that.
You can have that. Put it on your CV.
Once knew all the words to Eject by Senser
Much better at pool than Bamos expected
THAT JOB IS MINE!
I can update it too! :D
How's that going?
I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.
(hint: I was at lunch for three hours today, and had a two bottles of wine)
I've made a rough sketch but honestly the project is snowballing and I'm going to need more resource to complete it.
Played the final at Turf Moor.
My running standards are:
5 miles - 29.29mins
10km - 36.06mins
10m - 66 mins
I'm still an OK runner but way off that standard. I'm still alright at footie.
I also once beat my brother in a race from here to --------------> there.
Competed against and lost by at least 20m to this giant of a man who went on to represent GB: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Myerscough
I did it in 41:40 once and all my mates thought I was the Essex version of Moses Kiptanui.
It always slightly irks that I didn't get under 36 in a competition as I could do often in training. Guys at my old running club would do 32mins.
(under 6 min miles)
Rugby - Loosehead
Basketball - Point Guard
Cricket - i opened the batting, kept wicket some of the time, bowled odd balls some of the time with best bowling figures of 2 wickets for 1 run from 3 overs.
sweet eating - supreme champion.
Best position in basketball..
played for the Derby team as a LB from ages 10-12. then had an asthma attack on pitch and nearly died, didnt play for ages and got fat.
wasnae bad at kwik cricket, terrible at everything else, especially rugby
apart from running and basketball, at which i was okay.
first team player, a little shy of county maybe. Won a shit tournament got humiliated in a better one (won by Jamie Delgado).
Was also a Karate brown I belt by eleven so I could probably fuck you up!
That's where you got your shitting fetish from is it?
not brown, it's one above brown! I'm going to have to go break some tiles to get rid of this anger now... then maybe a lovely shit.
I used to run a bit
I've still got you, skinny-fat
I was in the footy team at little school and then the B-team at middle school. And I was on the cricket team at middle school for a bit. Luckily at secondary school my lack of growth and increasing shitness conincided with being WAY TOO COOL.
between all-round sporting prowess and density of posting in football threads?
Im pretty good at sports/ aspects of a sport that involve POWER.
I used to play rugby, hockey and a lot of cricket
I now box.
Im shit at running/ anything that involves stamina.
Was left-back and later left-winger in the school team, left due to me wanting to further my career elsewhere (or 'not get kicked in by Matthew Ball, who was bigger than me').
Beat Uni tennis player three times in a row while at Uni. Didn't want to join the team because most of the people on every Uni sports team were utter wangs.
Took 5-91 in t'cricket last year.
Hit 95 finish in darting earlier this week.
In running to be Golden Boot winner, DiS Football 2009 season.
Did they not teach you to count to 100 in Derbyshire?
Maybe it was just us. There's not much running space in the east midlands.
That's what we did.
Then it's as you say. I'd given in running long before then though.
I was the second best cross-country runner at high school and was school rugby captain which, was all the more difficult given I was at a school with a lot of Pacific Islanders who all grew about a foot taller, 5 stone heavier and had beards years before I had pubes. But at about 16 I started becoming an emaciated proto-emo momo and went completely the other direction - pretending to understand Baudelaire isn't compatible with playing centre in a NZ rugby team. I think I made a poor choice in hindsignt.
The more I think about it, the more I think rock and roll music is bad for our children.
You're my ideal match!
You know that right? Just so we don't start off with lies
What do you reckon? That's about my level across all sports.
You'd be one of the better players.
Played badminton at club level and basketball for my school, largely because I was over 6ft tall at 13. Got made to play rugby (second row) once for the same reason, but quickly decided I was far too much of a fairy to continue down that road!
I played local village cricket
I play golf off of 20
My best break in snooker is 71, and I was the winner of the singles and doubles as well as the team league in West Berkshire in about 1997 (Division 2)
I've had a 170 checkout at darts, but I've never hit a 180
I am absolutely average at everything I turn my hand to. Except rugby, I was shit at that. And I can't swim. That's got nothing to do with rugby, though
Back then I was happy with 20 per hole...
during my early teens due to my chunky arms.
Then that episode of 999 was broadcast where the kid impaled his neck on a javelin, which put off most people from doing it after school.
I did get to go to another school and throw javelin, where I came second. I learned on the bus back to our school that this was the county championship. I'd have really got stuck in if I'd know this.
I can swim.
which is not bad I suppose. Faster than Denise Lewis anyway.
i've had a couple training sessions with WWE/ROH wrestler Bryan 'American Dragon' Danielson, if wrestling ist sport?
I'll allow it.
Everybody's Golf II on Playstation? I was fucking brilliant at that!
No, no electronic aids allowed.
Is that caused by HTMLIV?
IT'S OKAY, I'M GOING HOME NOW!
I can jizz almost eight metres.
If that's not entertainment, I don't know what is.
Everyone else might be able to jizz the standard 300m and there's you with your paltry 8m spurt.
The force that would hit the back of your throat from that range would knock your tonsils clean out.
and I beat Amy at running 100 meters in year 10 and she was THE BEST. This makes me THE BEST.
i played hockey for my university a few weeks ago, then remembered how shit it was and haven't since.
our teams are so shit any cretin can join. just to make up numbers.
At that age, as well as other guys they had us fight slightly older girls as well. During one bout, the girl pinned me, stroked my hair and told me how soft it was. My mum was sitting down about 5m away waiting to take me home.
My dreams of being Chuck Norris did NOT originally encompass being beaten by a girl, in front of my mum, so effortlessly that she could compliment me on my choice of conditioner.
5-a-side my defending lets the side down
if being okay means winning the wooden spoon/consolation prize twice during my stint in my university team.
And I also once won silver in a soo bahk do (similar to taekwondo) sparring competition.
I was good enough to be the worst player on my school team for football, rugby, tennis and - rather oddly given that I’m a midget - basketball. I did 800mm and triple jump for the school, but never came any higher than mid-table. My school was pretty small, so none of the above are that remarkable.
The sport that was best at was swimming though. I used to swim breaststroke at county level and was alright for a couple of years.
I still play football, once a week in the third division of the Wednesday night powerleague at Liverpool Street, and that’s about my level, and I started playing hockey a couple of years ago. I play in the 5th team of a club and we’re in the 9th division of the South West section of the Eastern League. We’re pretty lame.
This guy can run NEARLY A METER!
</Usain Bolt pose>
came 2nd once..but was always in the top 6.
I can't drive (officially) or use a clutch
they took all the lads into account and everything and I still came out on top.
sometimes i like to call it my sportsperson of the millennium award.
unfortunately my mongy teacher ruined my otherwise promising career by putting me, the shortest lad in the year, at centre-half up against some big bruiser who barely noticed I was there. We were all a bit shit though - in fact I saw one of them was playing for Northwich Victoria last weekend, and he's been the most successful of the lot.
My bleep test personal best is something like 7.1.
I was actually quite good at tennis when I was younger, but I just couldn't serve. I spent months practising, it just isn't something I'm capable of doing well, so I gave up.
Football - I played for Hillingdon Irish youths and at secondary school was in a short lived B team. Our school was shit for sports though. Started playing rugby for a local club and was vice captain until quitting as we ended the youth team and I had my A levels and couldn't commit to first team training.
At uni I started rugby again and in my second year was a resolute substitute for the 2nds. We won the league and got to the last 8 in the country. In my final year I captained the 3rds and was the first 3rd team captain to win a game in the history of the club. In fact we went on to finish 4th in a league of 9 and we got to the QFs of the ULU Cup. At the end of the season I was awarded LSE Rugby Club Player of the Season, over players who had U21 international caps. The trophy is in my bedroom. A proud moment.
I'm actually not very good at rugby, I'm just a good captain. I make people believe in themselves, or that' what they told me. Anyway, my team was like my own personal army, they'd willingly do whatever I told them to do. Was great. So may free pints off rich Yanks.
I love cricket, but I'm not terribly good. Best figures of 2-48 from 4 overs including 16 wides.
I don't care how shit I am though, I fucking love sport
Football - generally crap centre-half, played for school teams in Primary and Middle School.
Rugby - reasonable, didn't enjoy it though too much. Played for the county.
Golf - Pretty good, but inconsistent as I hardly ever play. Got my handicap down to 15 aged 15 but since stopped playing regularly.
Cricket - half-decent, off-spinner, no. 8. Played for University 3rd XI, borderline 2nd XI had I played a bit more in my final year.
Darts - Not sure really. Proud of every 180 I've ever got, though. All four of them.
and then I found out I'm quite good at badminton and running. But not good enough to be interesting.
2nd XV Rugby at school
Was pretty competent at 800m and 1500m too, ran for the school blah blah blah
My brother is much sportier though, at one point he was Hampshire U18 for rugby, cricket and hockey. He went to the Harlequins Academy and had goalkeeping trials for Southampton. In a somewhat bizarre twist he was also briefly a cricket international........for Germany.
Were there enough other teams to get to play many games?
