I think i'm going with brown.
clear glass for beer just seems odd to me.
green for lagers
but i've been drinking bottles of sagres as it was 40p a bottle at my local off licence because of "short coding" or whatever that means. Its in brown glass and it just feels right. idk.
British ales and Belgian beers, all in brown bottles, mostly all great.
because carling comes in a brown bottle and it's vile
lager in green.
south american/asian beers in clear.
thems the rules.
your rules are shite
every japanese beer i've had has been in a clear bottle. i don't think i've had asahi though.
Corona is how you do it right. Colouring your bottles is too european for me.
personally i don't really think it matters
all the finest ales are in brown. Including Newcastle Brown Ale which knocks you on your back.
All the best ale is from down south
Badger, Adams broadside, Hogs back. Even London Pride and IPA are quite nice in comparison (London pride is actually really great)
also this looks like I'm an ale snob. i'm not really. I only drink it during the colder months, and Its damn cold now, so i'm pretty obsessed.
I quite like to drink Newcastle because it is readily available here. A while ago it used to be really cheap and was famous for making people violent but now it's more expensive and cool apparently.
I like London Pride but not that many people have it here. Good Belgian beers and stuff like Duvel are in brown bottles too.
Corona is in a clear bottle and it good in the summer
your theory: SMASHED
youre right, nightmare
How about the temperature sensitive label that indicates when it's cold enough to drink that's cool though isn't it
Do you like to drink ales then
maybe i've just drank too much of it
its 2.50 a bottle at the place we usually do our clubnight. difficult to drink a lot of, especially because it's cold but ale-like
I can drink loads of it. But it makes me ill more that most ales.
Is your club night in Edinburgh I go there sometimes cos my friend lives there.
you probably don't because usually we know everybody that turns up by name
its called HARK by the way
we're moving it to the GRV
idk i'm just going to pretend I know what it is. Surely that would be a lot of names to remember right
I dont even know what the GRV is, it just seems established and now that the current place has put their prices up we thought we'd give it a try. People seem to go there regardless of what is on, which seems good for us.
it was my friend's friend's club night and was fairly well attended even though the band he had playing sounded like bad Kasabian so it wasn't exactly pulling people in off the street with the quality.
Talking of quality do you still like the Red Hot Chili Peppers I just finished the Kiedis autobiography and it was really good. He didn't talk about the music much though
but its the most economic
500ml bottle of newcastle brown for 2.50 or a 2.00 mini bottle thing of Tiger. Thats all they sell at the wee red.
plus it has a cool temperature sensitive label that indicates when it's cold enough to drink WHICH IS PRETTY COOL
the coolest beer bottle is the leffe champagne-style one. you get all the cork-popping fun without the inconvenience of having to drink champagne!!!
I like the ones with the corks in too, we used to get them and fire the corks at each other. Even the fruity belgian beers tasted nice with the cork.
Champagne is rank isn't it, vomitty aftertaste :(
Is Newcastle Brown Ale well known in America
The only stuff in blue bottles here is sherry and it is rank
Generally among the more hipstery types.
