that explained fractals, etc. Which came to mind the other day when a DiS thread linked to "Everyday stuff wot looks like maps", and realised that some of the info had kinda sunk in and I had a rough understanding of why these conincidences weren't as conincidental as it would seem. There's a mathematical explanation for why natural stuff around us takes the forms that it does.
This year's theme is "The 300 Million Years War", apparently.
but this doesn't seem to be on as often these days.
