Autumn Internationals Thread (rugby centric)
So, some more international rugby this weekend to take the bad taste association has left in my mouth this week.
The big game is England vs New Zealand. It's hard to see England not getting an absolute thrashing here. The main concern is that Johnson has again gone for what he did against Wales and Ireland and picked a team to not lose by too many. But in both those games the opposition had off days but England didn't have the personnel to counter and both teams saunter to nervous but easy victories. If England do upset the All Blacks, who do they have to take advantage? Erinle? Don't make me laugh.
Wales vs Argentina - I hope Wales give them a smashing. Wales play rugby in the right spirit and Argentina are the only team I hate more than South Africa. Although I really wish Gatland would shut his cake hole.
Australia vs Scotland - Sorry Scots, this is going to a bloodbath. Aus should've murdered Ireland last week, but lack a killer instinct, and were hampered by Ireland's superb defence. They showed however they can score tries from nothing, and Scotland don't have an O'Driscoll or Bowe to turn to.
Ireland vs Fiji - Should be a fun game, provided none of the Fiji players put one of our boys out of the Saffer game with their penchant for illegal tackling. Playing Leamy in this one could be a catastrophe; he'll get at least a yellow at some point. Jonny Sexton gets his Ireland debut. Let's hope he can make the step up. But it's odd, a few years ago we had no replacement for O'Gara. Now we've Sexton, O'Neill and Humphries all coming through
