Have we had one of these threads recently? I've just finished Everything Is Illuminated. I liked it a lot at first, then in turns still liked it but also found it kind of smug at its own misery, found Jonathan too simpering, then liked him enough, always loved Alex, found it good at the end. But I think maybe it's up there amongst books that *need* to be read another time before you can say much about them.
I'm going to resume The Botany of Desire, which I'd put down. What I've read so far is interesting, but I haven't read much. I'm also going to properly start chemistry-related history book Napoleon's Buttons. I'm kind of skeptical about it; have any of you read it? It should at least be interesting, even if in total it's ridiculous, yeah?
