TEENAGE HOOKER BECAME KILLING MACHINE http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0280140/
I liked it a lot
A Christlike figure wanders through bizarre, grotesque scenarios filled with religious and sacrilegious imagery. He meets a mystical guide who introduces him to seven wealthy and powerful individuals, each representing a planet in the solar system. These seven, along with the protagonist, the guide and the guide's assistant, divest themselves of their worldly goods and form a group of nine who will seek out the Holy Mountain, in order to displace the gods who live there and become immortal.
has a very bad habit of making people watch Holy Mountain when they have been drinking heavily. Not the best idea.
I like the frogs. Or toads. Whatever they are.
I like the toads. Basically all of it is massively entertaining though. This is a weird/funny bit (NB not safe/too insane for work)
El Topo is weird too but I fell asleep from the boring a couple of times during it. The first part is very slow moving.
That's great. I've seen the first half twice - once sober, once not. Will try & make a point of seeing the whole thing through at some point.
"See the naked young Franciscans whipped with cactus. See the bandit leader disemboweled. See the priest ride into the sunset with a midget and her newborn baby. What it all means isn't exactly clear, but you won't forget it."
You stole my one
Anything by Peter Greenaway, really.
on channel 4's '100 best 10 minute rape scenes', hosted by graham norton?
I'm also looking forward to the Jimmy Carr fronted ''50 Greatest Female Bruisings (which feature Kathy Burke)''..........fingers crossed for Nil By Mouth.
but I've seen Holy Moutnain. Same guy unless I'm really confused.
Well, I say I've seen it. I wandered into it at the Green Man cinema tent. Me and my friends were so freaked out that we had to leave after watching about 5 minutes.
What I remember is: a woman humping a cliff-face, someone slicing steaks off the hind of a live horse and eating them, a semi naked guy who could only teleport himself horizontally and an armless and legless person being 'born' from another person then thrown over the side of a boat. Fuck.
i remember when i was in berlin last year going to some bar and they were showing Holy Mountain on a big screen. Looked completely fucked up.
when i was about 15/16.
My memory's a little hazy but there's about 3 or 4 plot twists (or U turns would be more accurate) that are genuine WTF moments.
As i recall it goes like this:
guy gets kidnapped by creepy old woman and taken to her mansion
creepy old woman wants him to sleep with young daughter so she scan watch
guy wants to fuck daughter but not in front of creepy old woman
guy fucks girl thinking he isn't being watched
turns out they are being watched
after creepy woman sees them fucking she decides 'hmmm i'd like some of that myself'
creepy woman kisses guy
creepy woman takes off wig to show she's actually a guy
Film changes track completely (can't remember this bit)
some sort of murder plot ensues
End of film turns out it that all 3 of them are in a competition to make a film and the whole thing's been a film (within a film)
he pinpoints one of the many flaws of the film at 1:50
fantastic opening sequence
is quite odd.
Couple can't have a child, so the husband carves a baby out of a tree root. It comes alive & starts eating people.
pretty much tries to do everything in it's power to offend (incest, watersports, forced defecation (sp?), necrophilia, extreme lactation) but somehow manages to come across as having a sort of Jesus Christ/redemptive thing to it.
The Happiness of the Katakuris?
it's brilliant and weird
posted it a bit further up. :)
the bit at the end in the kitchen where she's milking herself and wearing a bin bag. ultimate wtf.
and then the dead woman shits on him as he's raping her.
credit where's it due, if you're going to commit to something you should go all the way.
And also deeply terrible.
(aka Birds, Orphans and Fools)
1969 Juraj Jakubisko
"In this symbolic tragedy, two men and a woman act like children in the aftermath of war. They care for each other but often revert to selfishness, as all social structure and morality have been shattered by the conflict. When the girl runs off with one man, the other tracks down the departed duo and kills her."
"After killing the crooked mayor a homicidal janitor named Abdullah goes to work for a butcher who has invented a new language for the town's planned futuristic theme park. In the butcher shop is a septic tank where scraps of meat are dumped which has produced "balonium" a radioactive fuel source sought after by space aliens. The aliens revive the mayor, who's body is hanging in the meat locker of the butcher shop, in an attempt to gain access to the balonium."

Hands down. Its so Indie its not even on DVD. It stars Faye from Steps.
that is the default response to this question. people must watch this trailer.
and i know it's a low budget film - but fuck me, it doesn't cost anything to download a decent font does it?
Hello... dafont.com ????
i have definitely seen stranger films, i just can't recall any at the moment!
after catching it movies4men or some terrible channel months ago. It's as bad as a film can possibly be...
i was too.... erm... "sleepy" to get up and change the channel. we were in hysterics watching it though. the trailer is just as funny.
In A Glass Cage
"A former Nazi doctor-turned-pedophile, paralyzed from the neck down after a suicide attempt, is forced to accept a boy as his nurse under threat of blackmail: the boy secretly witnessed the doctor's torture and murder of another boy, and possesses the man's diary, which details his wartime experiments and his subsequent descent into pedophilia and murder. Before long, the boy displays his ambition to follow in the older man's footsteps."
Heard about it in a John Waters interview where he said it was the most disturbing thing he'd ever seen.
for sure although I think a lot of the films mentioned previously surpass it in terms of weirdness it's still extremely bizarre.
