I feel sorry for Mark Hughes. How the fuck do you keep them all happy? I'm scratching my head trying to think of a decent formation...something like a 4-2-6-5 would be nice....

I've just started a game as Hibs boss.
It's so hard to find players in my price range though I've started the season with a 0-0 draw with bigots.
Oh and this is in a custom league I've created: 2 x 16 team leagues.
I reckon I can win it. Queen of the South next up!

No one signed yet...I've put in a cheeky £20m bid for Ashley Cole though ;)

I sold Ian Murray to West Brom for £1.4m though so that gave me some more pennies to work with.

Citeh's easy mode. You can sack the whole useless lot of them and just buy your ideal squad, pretty much. Yes some of them will bitch about being on the bench, FARM THEM OUT. Particularly Robinho.
I played the 09 version though, when we were still fairly thin and Richards was hilariously overrated. I bought Kranjcar, Santa Cruz and a Spanish defender I can't remember the name of who was the business. I played 4-1-3-2 away and 4-3-1-2 home. That worked.
Yeah, admittedly I haven't even played a full friendly yet.
I kinda like the idea of mainly keeping the squad together, and somehow trying to get the best out of them, with the odd ridiculous purchase to plug the massively obvious defensive holes. I'm currently experimenting with a 4-1-2-2-1. Great fun!

Zabaleta will want out, don't let him. If you let Johnson play games he will eventually become better than Ireland, but if you can't find space for him move him on. Sell Robinho to Chelsea for a bit of tuck money. Jagielka will solve your defensive difficulties. Really.
I randomly assigned myself Nottingham Forest. I got them into the Premiership at the end of last season. Dom would be proud, although it might have been a mistake; I have never encountered a defence with as many shower-like qualities as Mr. Davies', and I've spunked most of the transfer budget on this 18 year old Belgian.

you start off looking like Barcelona, then injuries make most of the decisions for you, you leave your best player out to accomodate another midfield clogger, and quickly turn into the new Blackburn.

my leeds team just decided to become full out thugs
i've had like 5 red cards in three matches in a row. and i'm on something like a four match losing streak.
still, i won league 1 and now i'm fourth in the championship next season. can't complain really. beckford scored something stupid like 24 goals in 20 games and then went and got himself injured for two months. arrgh!

I'm managing Llanelli. We're in 2012, and we've just drawn with PSV 0-0 away in a champions league qualifier. We have a team of Brazillians who have second EU-friendly nationalities; and free transfer mercenaries who are only in it for the cash.
It's FM 2007. Anything later than 2008 and my PC would keel over and die.
