Where can I find one of those machines that converts change into cash in Glasgow?
I'm skint and need the money so I can eat and not die as my student loan STILL hasn't come in yet.
(cunts)
There's not more than a tenner, so there's no point putting it in the bank...

those machines charge don't they?
why not go into your bank tomorrow and get them to change it into higher value notes/coins for free?
Will they do it?
I've probably only got about 5 pounds at maximum... Don't have any money bags either, do you think they'll be arsey about it? I'm with HSBC.
Also I was told the banks have these machines too and don't charge, but I've not seen a single one.
The bank /should/ take ~£10 in change
and should be able to deposit it into your account, ready for instant withdrawal.
They'll want it bagged. They will give you bags for free and expect you to do it. £10 won't take too long.
They might be arseholes about it and come out with some daft story about a maximum number of bags of change per person because they've got nowhere to store it (this has happened to me).
If they start playing up, give 'em a sob story.
If that doesn't work, split it in two and go to two different branches.
Failing that, a Post Office might be able to take the deposit, depending on your bank.
I'd never use those rip-off machines on principle. I'd rather trawl round different stores, spending small chunks of change at each.
would have thought the bank would do it
if not, i know theres one in morrisons in anniesland, so i assume there would be one in equivalent sized supermarkets

Asda
the machines charge an 18% commision though and you are paid in vouchers which can only be used in that shop and have to be used within six hours of issue
Yeah watch the "to be used within six hours of issue"
small print on the token you get.
I used one of these machines in Asda and wandered off only to come back and be told my token had expired. They let me away with it anyways but how shitty is it that you PAY to change your money and they stick a TIME LIMIT on when you can spend it!
why on earth would anyone use this?
post office does this.
