starts terribly, like properly crap, then gets rather good, the cgi is pretty much uniformly shit and cartoony
definitely the best terry gilliam film for awhile

That's not difficult though
seeing as Brothers Grimm was pretty crap, nobody noticed Tideland and Fear and Loathing is just a mess. Gilliam seems to have kept his visual skills but everything else seems to have deserted him in recent years.
even so
this was properly entertaining and good
a little too cartoony in places but certainly back in the spirit of Time Bandits, Munchausen etc
