advice from flat owning lease holder type peoples please
I've been embroiled in a flat buying shambles for the last 6 months and it's now getting to the point where i need to make a potentially serious decision.
The freeholder of the flat basically seems like an unorganised, incompetent nincompoop and has no account details / invoice breakdowns on what the maintenance charges have been spent on.
My solicitor is being pretty firm on this and saying we shouldn't buy without but the sellers are saying that's the deal so we take it or leave it. Is the solicitor being needlessly picky or is it complete madness to buy a flat without these details?
I should state that i really, really lurrve this flat.
Anyone else on here bought a flat and care to share any words of wisdom please?
