Which is nice.
he said I had the expression of a patronising social worker. More fool him: I may be partonising but I'm no social worker.
Hope you enjoy the show.
The cultural hub of the north.
Which is nice.
kitson is my favourite stand-up comedian. enjoy.
He wasn't that good.
He was doing his story-telling thing.
He does gigs a lot in the pub where I work and I can't get enough of it.
- The story itself was average at best
- He doesn't have a good voice or technique for storytelling. It was like school when someone is asked to read aloud in class and they just burn through it.
- The twit with the guitar was just about the most smackable person of all time
- The whimsical tweeness of it all grated quite quickly, I wanted JOKES not quirky cutesy observational comedy.
I really wanted to like it, it wasn't very good, I really should let it go,
but apparently this years theatre/story show is a cracker, don't give up hope yet.
I saw it a couple of months back - the one where he finds all the letters written by some dead guy - and it was one of the best things I've done all year. If anything, there should have been more whimsical tweeness.
And my mum liked it, which pretty much seals it.
The music guy had a ukelele.
My brother saw it in Edinburgh and suggested I break my own balls off to see it. Touring in 2010 apparently, so I'll be hitting that right up.
At one point he just said 'fuck off' continuously for about 5 minutes. It had no right to be even a little bit funny, but I couldn't even breathe.
In summary: funny man.
saw a few of his previews/in writing shows at the Hob. Woo forest hill. and they were great.
What is this no London date bullshit?
According to his mail out a few days ago.
...but this is just factually incorrect. Really.
I had a dream last night that you gave a list of your favourite stand-ups. Rob Brydon was on it. So was Lenny Henry.
1. Peter Kay
2. Craig Cash
3. Jimmy Tarbuck
4. Paddy McGuiness
5. Jason Manford
6. Coronation Street
You should get his Edinburgh 2005 show off itunes and give it a proper chance. It is about as good as stand up gets.
i was laughing so much that i couldn't breathe. I hope he still does his material about cakes. and risotto. oh man, the risotto :''')
