my keyboard is doing something wierd. actually its probably not my keyboard as it only seems to happen in microsoft programmes and such.
basically you know you can highlight a portion of tex and then anything you type in will replace it? well when i do this, the highlighted text remains next to the new text. very annoying.
similarly when i try to delete highlighted text with the backspace key nothing happens - i have to use the delete key.
its slowing me down and gradually turning me into an angry monster.
help
