i like that it still has a fair amount of 'straight' journalism compared to most of the others
but for the actual straight up news stories it doesn't, as often, seem to go the guardian/mail/indy/express way with a lead of some interest/outrage piece that'll get their readers spunking
although obviously in this respect it's no FT - but thats always so dry.

It contains the best defence commentary by a huge margin and there domestic political coverage is pretty good too.
It's also significantly less partisan than the Guardian, and would never publish the sort of hysterical propaganda pieces that La Toynbee et al are churning out with mounting desperation.

It's obsessed with the celebrity culture as much as OK! And they have spent a bit of time thinking about the light stories people would like to read when they're having a five minute skive from their mundane and menial office jobs.
O wait, you thought it did deep analysis. Perhaps that's the print version, but I have never bought that.
