I was reading some shit about the evolution of artificial intelligence last night and somehow got diverted to this article. It constitutes an after action report detailing one man's attempt to establish hegemony over a series of computer generated opponents in a computer game I've never heard of before.
Despite this blatant nerdery, I could appreciate the intrinsic entertainment value that comes from any activity described in an funny and clear way. Indeed, I think there would actually be support for our efforts in the middle east if we had one of our generals serialise his work in this way - which they probably already do, but refuse to release it to the public until everyone concerned is dead. Totally unfair...
