The Europa League Football Thread
People, I've just realised something. There might not be a Chelsea-Liverpool Champions League game this year.
Anywho, United beat CSKA thanks to a late Antonio Valenica goal but could have been a few up by then, based on the highlights. Chelsea gave Atletico a bit of a smashing despite not playing exceptionally well. Glad Lampard broke his scoring duct. Was quite surprised by just how dirty Atletico were. AC Milan, the very same AC Milan who were humbled at home by the mighty FC Zurich just a fortnight ago, came back from a goal behind to beat Real 3-2 at the Bernabeu in the night's biggest clash.
Celtic take on Hamburg tonight. Jorg Albertz is interviewed on the BBC website about it. I'd forgotten all about him. Used to strike fear into my heart during every Old Firm game. Fulham take on Roma and Everton look set to more or less confirm their progression.
Strachan should be Boro manager by the weekend.
