how long has anyone gone without sustained internet and telly access for?

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 14:04, 21 October '09

i've been going for a few weeks now and i'm finding it quite interesting/liberating.....maybe.

i nip to various libraries now and then, and i have bbc 1 and 2.

but apart from that it's just been books, films, music...papers and the wireless.

and i do sort of feel cleansed. not having those times where i'd just spew idiocy* on here because i had nothing better to do.

i've read three books in a week. three books. that's mental. i'm not sure i could do that with the internet and sky+ hanging around.

and spotify too. there was so much music available, i never really listened to any of it properly i think.

i dunno. but then..then. there are times when i feel out the loop slightly. i dunno. it's a trade off i supposse. i might finally get around to reading the trial and crime and punishment...but then i don't have anyone to talk about it to...etc etc. shit like that.

any thoughts?

could you survive sans internet and telly?

*staggering and hilarious insight
