A school-friend is coming down to visit later on this month, and I was thinking we should do summat interesting in town and then get drinks/cheap cheap food (but in a nice place - time out has a really good cheap eating guide this week btw)

Any exhibitions on at the moment? There's tons of stuff I want to see but they are all in boring familiar parts of town. Any exhibition type places with nice pubs/eateries nearby? Does the South Bank have ANY decent pubs?
