So, are Liverpool in crisis? (Wednesday Football Thread)
4 defeats on the trot and Gerrard/Torres seemingly ruled out for this weekend's game against Manchester Utd. If the press are to be believed Rafa has come very close to the exit door at Anfield many times in his Liverpool career. Could he actually be staring down the barrel of a gun now? I doubt it personally, but jabber away.
Late goals prove the undoing of Arsenal (1-1 AZ), Liverpool (1-2 Lyon) and, most surprisingly, Barcelona (1-2 Rubin Kazan). Own goals prove the undoing of Rangers. That makes me happy.
Southgate is sacked as manager of Boro while the Championship remains absurdly open. There's only 6 points between Newcastle, who lost 2-1 last night to Scunthorpe but avoided losing top spot due to WBA's defeat, and Watford. Reading look absolutely fucked; QPR are in good form at home but to go in at half time 2-0 down against 10 men isn't too great.
