Anything good going on? Will I get stabbed if I talk? Shall I have a deep fried pizza?
scottish people are nice, you don't have to worry about being stabbed unless you're being a loud southerner ;)
"unless you're being a loud southerner"
You should definitely go to Sauchiehall Street and order drinks in pubs in an extremely loud, braying voice.
"Awwwight? Can I Av, TOO Pints'a Stella please dahlin?"
(I'm not sure what accent we're doing here)
aahh, Irish cockney! What a dirty mixed race bastard I've turned out to be.
(especially when combined with that profile pic)
Why I oughtta! *shakes fist*
..and a suggestive shake of a lubricated fist..
My girlfriend's band *might* be playing at an event at the art school on Friday night. She doesn't seem to know if it's going ahead or not yet though. *HELPFUL*
This is good for gigs: http://www.tickets-scotland.com/gigs.html
You should stab yourself with a deep-fried pizza.
IT WAS GOOD.
I'm going to inhale a kingrib supper the second I get into town and then go into stereo with a greasy chin, dripping with oily meat juices, and upset the vegans.
ie on the way back now! It was great. A burger at N&S was had but I didn't rub anyones noses in it or owt.
The weather in Embrugh was killer on Fri/Sat, hopefully it will be this week too. Go up Arthur's Seat it's good up there.
I highly recommend sunday circus at the grand ole opry this sunday. (JAG-ISH)
we could get the dodgy buffet curry at the maltings, that could be a risk.
I'm attending a quiz for the gf's work at Cargo...i'm going to get wrecked and call her boss a slag.
Awesome thanks! I'll see what we can do. :) Got a nasty feeling we're going on friday, not saturday though. I'll double check.
When I saw 'we', I meant me and the person who I'm stying with. I'm sorry for the confusion. She lives in Glasgow y'see, but I'm making her take me to Edenburger.
Its got bands and djs on and is for charity so all good. Why not head into sleazys beforehand, that way you get the joys of sauchiehall st on a sat night.
even be able to share some banter with The Dykeenies (!)
I'm going to a stag-do in Edinburgh from Friday to Monday.
So which are the best pubs in the city? And I've heard talk of a lap-dancing club - are there any 'good' ones?
Avoid the fantasy palace in the west end and the big daddy o's or any of the ones on Lothian road and head for the Burke and Hare on Bread Street....apparently.
My fave pubs are:
Cloisters (The best for proper ale and impressive whisky list)
City Cafe (good atmosphere)
Cafe Royal (ALE + Decor and voted UK pub of the year 2009...)
thank you very much.
but it seems to be a pretty decent atmosphere. I stick to Cloisters and doctors mainly...
should i go to cloisters tonight?
due to the state of my bank account...
I tried to go in there on friday but it was rammed...so we went to the illicit still instead, This was far less rammed, but far less good also.
you need to get there pretty sharpish on a friday evening else you're going to be wrestling to get to the bar...
then you could'ave come to HARK!
