Good couple of episodes last night, i thought. Daniel and Steve looked great and couldn't be separated - I was quite shocked really; I couldn't remember much about either of them from the heats.

AND THEN RYAN THE RYANATOR GOT KNOCKED OUT! his food did look pretty piss-poor though - a bit of fish with five sticks of asparagus and some rather runny asparagus sauce. The way he said "I'll be back" at the end was pure self-parody.

I didn't really want Marianne to go through - mainly on account of her face, and also the fact she made four or five desserts when they asked for one. Still, A+ for effort.

Oh - and you would think that an owner of a michelin-starred restaurant would be able to afford decent glasses. It was like three well-turned out judges, and Compo.

To top off a decent evening for BBC2 - Buzzcocks wasn't too bad either. Peter Serafanovicz (?sp?) is class, and Newton Faulkner seemed like a surprisingly normal person.
