ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE ADDRESSED IN THE MOVIE
I mean, you wouldn't bother listing any issues with guff like Van Helsing or AvP, would you?
and/or need everything handed to them on a plate
Which plot holes were you thinking of?
There ARE things you can pick at (e.g. why in hell there weren't crews from around the world all over the spaceship 24/7) but it's sort of like moaning that Highlander contains people who are immortal.
if they could control the mothership by remote control why didn't they use it in the years before the movie was set?
why did they need to get the aliens to sign something for the eviction?
why didn't eating the aliens give the nigerians the power to use the alien guns?
Well the last two are stupid and I've never heard anyone question them.
Isn't the second one more, why did they need to fly the control ship there when they could have just started the mothership and then sorted everything from there.
is real Deus Ex-Machina. There's nothing to suggest this could happen at all prior to the event and it allows the story to resolve in a way that is a cheat, of sorts.
1 - why does Christopher Johnson not have that distillery set up inside the main craft he keeps hidden under his shack?
2 - Assuming there's a good reason he doesn't, why doesn't he take the fuel away with him or hide it himself, given he's leaving it with someone he knows is very stupid?
when talking about it
There will always be a healthy store of idiots who ask stupid questions in every field. E.g. "How can you like XXXX band? They're really depressing!"
However, I'd say my two 'plot holes' there aren't answered in the movie and are pretty reasonable questions.
it follows that they would have no sense of self and no name
hence they were probably assigned names
1. They wanted to see if the guy ( who always said 'fock'), had actuallly become 'part alien'. and how they could exploit this.
2. Because then there would be no movie.
3. The aliens were given rights. Which seemed realistic....
4. Because they were eating the flesh of them. we eat the flesh of many beasts, yet dont turn into any of those beast. we just become more beastly. something special happened to 'fock guy'.
When i saw the trailer i thought that it was going to be immense but its just shit! Everything about it is shit! Still feel so let down.
But a good action movie means at least approaching the coherence and skill of something like Raiders of the Lost Ark, Die Hard or Predator.
you could pick plotholes in a work of non-fiction.
Why didn't they just nuke Japan to begin with?
Why didn't they just nuke Vietnam?
Why don't they just nuke Iraq?
Why don't they just find him? We're all safely under the thumb now, it's not like they have to keep pretending he's doing a good job of hiding. Just admit that there's no money in finding him. We'd respect you a lot more for it, Mr Man.
They used the nukes as soon as they were invented
Why didn't they just invent the nukes sooner?
America suddenly "inventing" the nukes?
I smell a deus ex machina.
How can it be a plot hole if it's addressed in the movie?
