I've just dug out my old Ps1, and am now playing Harvest Moon - Back to Nature! Absolute genius.
into pixellated naturism?
The Indian Jones cartridge doesnt work. :(:(:( I loved that game. Also Pole Position where the car didnt turn, the tracks just came at you. Moon Buggy fucking rocked too
What was that one where you jumped around on blocks? Q-bert or something. I used to like that as well.
Probably the worst game ever?! Still... much love for the annoying little twat who never did anything you told him to. Also, I liked that you could sporadically punch him in the head when he sat in his armchair)
I fail. But I loved it so much and I was hoping no one would notice...
i totally had this. wasn't it like a Sims-esque game? i remember the concept terrifying me as a kid, i seemed to remember the box copy making me think they were real little people and i didn't want a part of that in case they died.
Yeah, it was like the first ever Sims really.
I still have it actually...
should be good :)
Zelda: Ocarina of Time
best game ever.
Did everybody play Fade to Back, I got it for the PC, I only remember it being awful to control - although I did have a wofully underpowered PC at the time.
Still better than most of the stuff that comes out now. A perfect game.
the Gamebody advance version is permanently in my DS :) I seem to play that more than most my DS games.
but I lost so much of my life to Sensible Soccer on the Atari Jaguar. I know some people will point to the Megadrive, but I feel that the Jaguar release was the definitive version.
and while I can't remember many of my favourites from that console, I'm going to say the original Sonic The Hedgehog, cos it's a stone cold classic (and it still manages to be a lot harder than any of the Megadrive Sonics).
Sega Master System just 'pips' the Atari 2600. My favourite games were Shinobi and Wonderboy III.
super smash bros melee
Shining Force II
No Mercy. Best wrestling game ever made.
where you are climbing above the toilets and one of the guards is standing near the booth, I used to love shooting his cap off and he wouldnt notice. Lol
I would be tempted to go with the N64 with International Superstar Soccer. But the graphics are all blurry on every game. Soooo, im gonna go for the Sega Megadrive and California Games. Ill never understand the last bit of the roller skating path weher just went all gravely and you fell flat on your face no matter what.
on the Playstation. Tenchu a close second
well my borther did but I hardly played them..and I've bought consoles for my nephews. But I never got into them to be honest.
I didn't like the games you found on consoles.
I preferred 8 bit speccy or 16 bit games for the ST and Amiga
and Chaos Engine
which is the better multiplayer game?
when I took my N64 to school over the winter Mario Kart was heavily favoured, few of my friends - incredulously - seemed to like Goldeneye. I favour MK too, but only just.
but they're both about the best examples of multiplayer....MK at a pinch i would say, of course they're dated now, but they were sooooo good
When you rescue the princess from the dungeon under the castle at the start and exit on to Hyrule Fields in daylight for the first time as the theme music begins to swell... perfect.
having completed the game, of course
I found it pretty tough on the GBA re-release, I was only 11 or 12
version apparently as there's a bit where you can use the keys in the wrong place and if you save be completely fucked :( lol.
Gerudo Valley, Song of Storms/Windmill Hut, Lost Woods, Hyrule Field, closing credits, Zelda's Lullaby, the original Fire Temple chanting...fucking exceptional
Do you remember the eerie silence as you approached the temple of time, or how it started raining is you went into the graveyard.
Majora's mask was okay, the bought back some of the ace snes music.
and Tekken 2, Tekken 3 was probably the better game but I invested hours of my time in mastering Tekken 2. Plus Kazuya > Heihachi Mishima when it comes to be being the main bad guy.

But the speech itself was top notch. They showed a video beforehand of Cameron's achievements and it really made me a convert to the Cameron cause. The tributes to his wife seemed genuine and he almost had to stifle a tear when talking about the death of his son, but he did it in such a way where it didn't seem contrived.
