Haven't seen a thread about this... Should the guy be sacked?
should he be sacked? well i really couldn't care less. i can't believe how much attention Strictly gets. i don't get it.
It's like cricket to me. I never ever watch it but it's never ever out of my bastard face.
I used to hate him but then I found out he used to be a boxer and now I love him.
As well as what was said in this one that is... BRING ON THE WALL!
but one thing i hate is the fact the term has been coined as racism in only recent years. It's just another sign of the development of the insanity of the world. Okay, so insanity is a strong word to use, but it's all a bit namby pamby.
He should have known better of course, but in essence all he did was take some friendly banter a bit too far with no bad intentions as far as i can tell and she forgave him.
Let's not ruin the man's career for one small mistake.
but if he really used that term while talking specifically to her in a jokey-banter way during their training and she's taken no offence to it then he absolutely shouldn't be sacked. Told to mind his mouth and perhaps consider whether or not it's appropriate to use such language regardless of intention but a lynch mob needn't assemble.
it wouldn't be considered racist. Now what the fuck is going on there, it's ridiculous really.
QUICK, TO THE BIZARRE ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE IN WHICH SOME DANCEY BLOKE SAID PAKISTANI RATHER THAN PAKI!
Putting aside that your argument is retarded...
...it might still have made the news given that the woman isn't from Pakistan - raising the question of why he was calling her that in the first place.
P.S. You retard(2).
That in itself isn't racist or offensive is it? It's his use of 'Paki' that makes it offensive.
Like, if I went up to a black man and said "Oi, Chocolate Chip" people would say I was a racist, but if I went up to an ice cream van and said to the ice cream man "Can I have a chocolate chip ice cream please?" that would be OK. It doesn't make any sense!
Like when I was considering going to Latin America, people told me not to use the word spic or they'd say I was racist, but like, how was I supposed to exclaim how spick-and-span my room was? It's political correctness gone mad. It just doesn't make sense!!?11!
Even if you are in some dodgy Oxbridge club of toffs! xx
(an area noted for its racial tensions) carried out a training excercise in which police cadets where given the task of apprehending a fictional black suspect by the name of 'Neger Negersson'
no one was sacked or even disciplined as the police complaint board concluded that because it was not a specifically directed insult it couldn't be termed as racist
he actually won the series
to Packie Bonner ?
it's only mildly related
comments made between friends. (i.e prince charles and his friend dusty, prince harry and his paki mate)as a guy with a wide group of ethnically diverse friends (we look like a united colors of benetton advert) we often take the piss and refer to each other via negative stereotypes, i smell curry, cor you have a lot of coconut butter on today, where's your foreskin etc, but we are not 'racist'
Whilst they may be on a higher level of responsibility being in the medi, t's the true, hardcore racists the media should be worried about, not a poorly phrased joke between a couple who spend 8-10 hours a day dancing together christ sake
but surely the fact that this guy is getting paid with tv licence money makes the outcry more understandable. No?
Someone's done it already, but I had to do it again.
I'm glad he said it, because it always inspires people who you thought we're hitherto compos mentis to expose their slavering inner retards.
'ISS NOT RACIST COS YOU CAN CALL ME A BRIT AND ISS JUST SHORT FOR BRITISH INNIT AND PAKI IS JUST SHORT FOR PAKISTANI INNIT EVEN THOUGH SHE AINT FROM PAKISTAN SO THAT ARGUMENT IS STILLBORN AND PAKIS GOT A 'ISTORY OF BEIN' USED AS A DEROGATORY TERM FOR ANYONE OV A DARKER SKIN TONE FROM THE SEVENTIES ONWARDS INNIT AND ALSO COS ITS NOT FOR US TO COMMENT ON WHAT SOMEONE ELSE MIGHT FIND OFFENSIVE COS WE THINK WE KNOW BEST INNIT YEAH?
Had to get that off my chest, cheers.
AND NEVER CALLS SAID GOAT AGAIN
Get off the outrage bandwagon, losers, it's yesterday's news.
