Or can it be one that we have read?
I spent ages in a book shop yesterday but nothing really grabbed me.
Fiction preferably please!
No it doesn't have to have been published this year.
I've just spent ages adding loads of stuff I've read.
I work in a library, so tomorrow I'm going to trawl through my loan history and add all the stuff I've forgotten.
Death of Grass by John Christopher
Overqualified by Joey Comeau
Let The Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist
Born Standing Up by Steve Martin
The Storm by Vince Cable
The Audacity of Hype by Armando Iannucci
don winslow....top notch
by Chuck Hogan and Guillermo del Toro.
obviously not published this year, fave book I've read this year though. In fact, new all time favourite book.
Also Bonfire of the Vanities and Revolutionary Road.
for Revolutionary Road. The first time I've read a book because of the hype and found it to be justified.
Either that or The Little Friend by Donna Tartt. If Infinite Jest was this year, stick that on the list as well.
As for stuff published this year, I really enjoyed The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters. I'm reading Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel at the moment, and I've got Occupied City by David Peace lined up next, so it could all change.
As for non-fiction, Leviathan by Philip Hoare is superb. Highly recommended.
The man's a genius
Norwegian Wood probably. though, Crash is a close one.
