biggest anticlimatic end to a series ever?
I mean, would he really want to go out on losing some poor guy 5k? Even if the guy seemed like a twat...
Plus, he was one off. That suggests to me there was some sort of system in place - just not a very good one.
We'll make this the official one though, aye? Aye.
I thought the camera was going to keep pulling back until you saw that the casino was actually a set that had been built right 'round the corner from the guy's house. Not even that. Boo, you whore Derren.
the whole "somewhere in mainland europe" thing was bollocks, and i'm very skeptical of the casino being real or not.
I doubt very much he would/could've smuggled secret cameras into the casino. For a start if he had won the casino bosses would've immediately been skeptical about a strange bloke walking in, placing one huge bet and then leaving.
- I'm sure they could've found a casino that would've let him do it and film it (for the publicity).
very very odd. the man is more infuriating than an episode of lost.
I don't think it's really supposed to be anything more than a lot of showmanship.
he can hypnotise you in a second without you realising?
the speeding cars bit was brilliant. Tim Westwood > Stephen Fry. A true national treasure.
If Brown was in total control, why do something which damages his standing - especially considering the flak he's already received for the previous stunts.
Sure, people would have questioned him no matter what, but at least he wouldn't be a failure.
I do wonder what his next move will be - a short break and back with some populist stunt? A long gap before something truly impressive? Retirement? Does anyone care anymore?
he was so close. seems dodgy about the hidden camera cos the real hustle guy was saying that the casinos have electronic recognition technology, so surely a camera sending a live feed to an external location would have been picked up? maybe not. Still pretty impressive tho, better than last week which was a bit turd.
to act. he was within that time definitely.
I think people are more likely to believe close-but-not-perfect more than if he'd made it so that he got the right number.
I loved the anti-climactic feeling at the end: "Don't worry, we'll get you your money back."
